Im at the point of thinking about what I want to stock in my upcoming reef. The tank is 40"x30"x24". I know i would like to have a CBB, purple tang and considering a power blue. What are peoples opinions on this? Is my tank too small for the powder blue? Or is there a better option to house with these two other fish...

Depends on rock work. In a peninsula there should be less of room for him to swim around. My 2 scopa, LG yellow belly hippo, 2 LG foxfaces, powder blue and cbb are all seemingly happy in my 120 penninsula. Lots of flow and the rock work allows them to circle the whole tank

I will be posting pics of my rock work soon, it is a larger island in the back and smaller in the front. Sides are wide open and quite a bit of room above the rockwork. I have read that powder blues get aggressive in a 120 but the footprint of my tank is not standard.

have always wanted a powder blue, sounds like it may be doable. At the same time i do not want to overcrowd the tank.

Pbt's can be really aggressive. I would suggest it be one of the last fish you add.
Size of your tank should be fine. If he gets too big. You can always trap him and re-home him. Which will be easy to find a new home for a healthy pbt

I've never really had much experience with Browns. But I think I read that they're not quite as bad as a blue. But still can be pricks

My Powder Blue was beautiful and was also a total SOB in my 180gal not out and out violent like the Sohal, but would pick a fish and just harrass it to death. Last fish In is a must...
