Hey guys. So I'm finally getting everything rolling along and need to get my fuge set up. I'll attach a pic. Not a ton of space for a light so I'm not sure what to use. Also how to run the fuge??? Mind the mess... still some cleaning up to do. THe light there now is just so I can see stuff. It's not on unless I'm working around there. Small IKEA closet strip light.

Don't need much of a light any low profile led will be fine. Flow only need a small amount of flow, by the look of that pump you can handle that, tap into that line above the fuge and toss a ball valve on it, let it have a trickle of water thru the fuge.

Like the set up.
Just curious regarding the "loop" coming off the return pump. Is there a reason for this, or do you just like tees? Keep in mind I'm asking as a plumber, as well as a future reefer.

Sorry... that's already done. Balanced manifold has a 3/4 valve. It's runs across the top and down to the last side of the fuge. When I said setup, I meant within the fuge itself, and of course the light. So what wattage and spectrum LED lighting am I looking for you figure? As for the pump, it's pushing about 45Ft, to the display which is why it is what it is.

Thanks!

It has a purpose. It's balanced. This way, all outlets will always see the same amount of flow. As opposed to the first in lines stealing from the ones at the end on a straight manifold. Hard to see in the pic but the "loop" as you put it has 4 total valves. You can really only see 2 in the pic.

Ok. Just curious for ideas as to how I will do my own down the road.

Lots of guys use those par38 bulbs for their fuge, I have a $15 led that is on 24hrs in red and a spot light style one that again was about $40 online that comes on for about 8 hrs for a better spectrum. Seems to work, green stuff grows like weeds? Both lights were bought from aquastyleonline.com.
