Hey guys

I was wondering skimmer suggestions for the redsea reefer 170 ... i am getting from unibob ...

I was thinking a octopus 110ss ... space saver .. but i am open to suggestions... also for a return pump i was thinkIng a mag 5 ...

Thoughts ??

what size tank are you putting that pump on, I use a mag 9.5 on a 75 gal w/55 gal sump...

You'll be fine with both.
For a 46gal tank. The skimmer is rated for 100 gal and the mag 5 will be plenty of flow through your sump

I thought those reasea's came with everything except lights? If you dont mind PM me a figure on one of them. If or when I finally find a house. Im thinking one of these all in ones. I really like the contained look.

You add return pump, skimmer, lights and powerheads.

Move to st Thomas and we will do one just outside London.

Housing is affordable in st thomas

Nice. You will love the reef oct my 150b classic cone was enough for a heavily stocked 125. Just had to remember to empty cup every couple days or oopsy overflow into sump haha.

I have the normal reef octopus 110 with aquatrance pump on a 40 with 20 sump. Super quiet and skims great. I only have a shrimp and some snails and it still pulls nasty stuff out I bet the 150 will be great.

Have you seen the new octopus classic line? Really nice looking with a removable base which is great for cleaning

i have had 3 octopus's and i just sold one ... i loved them all ... on my 150 gallon i run a 5000sss ... on the 93 cube ... i had a 150 int classic awesome skimmer and now i cant wait to use it ,.... hurry up with the tank unibob ... but yea its going to be awesome 150ss
