I just use the 12 " tongs from dollarama, they are metal but for a 1.25 you can change them out every few months..
I thought all that good stuff was gone. Last time I was there it had dollar store stuff and I kind of wrote the place off. 5 years ago it had some cool stuff but now?I got most of my other fragging supplies like long tongs, tweezers and surgical type blades from kw surplus. They have a whole aisle full of lab grade stuff

Try muriatic acid on them. it may eat the rust off. Be sure to rinse and dry afterwards. I use it on my plumbing fittings when they oxidize in the box. Just a Thought.Yeah I got my terminology wrong. I have a 16" rusty curved 'stainless steel' hemostat![]()
They don't look bad but on the serrated edges that grip are very rusty as well as inside the hinge... and I end up putting my hands in the tank with them anyways cuz they're too short
The 24 inch eheim ones would be long enough to keep my hands out of the water though... Hmm
