Stupid Overflow

haha ok so I'm a wee but frustrated. I have a bean animal over flow but I can't stop it from flushing. What am I doing wrong? What's the truck to set and forget cuz right now it's quiet then flush. Quiet then flush. My sumo will get nice wave action but that's not what I'm after here. Lol.

Your main drain should be sealed at the top and the pipes should be submerged about a half inch in the sump.
It's easier to dial in with a gate valve but you should be able to get it, make small adjustments.

Your main syphon line is open too much. Dial it back a bit

Ummm, your main drain is the one on the right in that picture above correct? If so, the ball valve is on the wrong drain.

The main drain gets the ball valve. Open up the valve ( in is closed in the pic). Start up your tank. Close the valve until water just starts going down the trickle pipe.

And if the full syphon is going and it is the trickle that is flushing, then you have too much flow out of your return pump

Ok misleading pic. It was what I had on my cell when I posted. Main syphon is middle trickle is left emergency is on the right. I will get another cap. I used what had came with the tank when I redid the plumbing and instead of a sealed cap I just used a line that was to the bottom of the overflow so it would essentially be plugged all the time that way anyhow I figured. The left is cut just above the elbow so when the water gets to there full siphon kicks in. The emergency drain is a bit higher then that. The valve is closed in the pic but I have it open. That's just how I had it while setting the plumbing all up

Is it possible that the tubing for your secondary drain is to close to the running water level in your weir?
If it is, it will cause the secondary to go into full siphon mode which will draw the water faster than it is flowing in resulting in a "flushing" as well.
Or, if your primary valve is not open quite enough, you will get the same result as well.

It is the full siphon making the flush...or the trickle? Just double checking info here.

Right now I have it balanced. Trickle drain is well, trickling. And syohon is doing its thing but it's still kinda gurgling and letting air into the sump. I plugged the hole in the cap aswell. If I start messing around to get the noise to stop then I get back into the flushing again. And it'll be back out of both drains at that point

Does your syphon drain go into the sump below the water line in the sump?

Yes it does. All three do. I'm wondering it it's because of the size of elbows I'm using in the overflow box itself. They are bigger maybe 1 1/2 or 2".

And the siphon starts properly? Air needs to be removed from the siphon line. If both ends are submerged, then the air can't escape and get a proper siphon. If possible, shorten the line to just above the sump or drill a tiny hole above the sump water line (ve sure to direct it so it doesn't spray out of the sump lol) to allow the air escape the line and start a proper siphon. Probably is why you have some success while playing with the air line.

Ok. Should all my lines be like that? I have them all 1" below the water.

Mostly just the siphon. I cut mine 1/8" above the sump water line when the pump is off. The water will raise about that much to go over into the next chamber, but aloud the air to escape as the siphon started.

Ok thank you so much. That worked!!! Sooo quiet now. No sound. No bubbles. Well bubbles from the trickle so I'm going to cut it at the same height. Thanks so much for the guidance.
