I can't stand wearing gloves when I work on tanks. Happens to me all the time.

Some packing tape works well to remove most the bristles.

"Most of the bristles" is right. I had one little bristle stay with me for months! But Bristle worms are still great to have, in my opinion.

Yeah unfortunate this ain't my first tango with a Bristle worm. Tweezers then tape then vinegar. Still hurts though lol. Vinegar seems to dissolve the needles; but it still puffs up usually I think that was the most I've ever had at one time. My finger has swollen up and is very uncomfortable but no extreme pain. It should go down in a couple days.

Looks like you have dry cracked hands like me, I think the bristle worms would have a hard time getting through my callus.

Yeah usually my tough hands keep those pricks from even digging in but I had torn down to tanks yesterday by that time I had pretty prunei fingers and evidently soft skin from hours of being in water.

OK for a bit of an update. Things took a slight turn for the worse LOL apparently I must have left too many of the spikes in my finger and it has gotten severely infected. I was at the ER today and the infection is starting to spread out my arm. They gave me some strong antibiotics and marked where the infection is I have to watch it for the next 24 hours to see if it goes up any further. I'll keep you updated
