Merry Christmas to me haha my dad thought it would be a nice "free gift" to take me for a quick stop at Burlington's Coral Reef Shop. Great place, beautiful set-up! Getting an RODI for Xmas then the fun starts!

I am venturing out of KW tomorrow. Need to pick a direction. That way, Canada Coral, or more out towards Aquatic Kingdom area. Don't know which to choose. :(

Aquatic kingdom and Canada corals are 10 minutes apart.

Me personally would go to Canada corals for sure. Then R2O on the way back towards Dundas then reef raft for the heck of it and finally aquatic kingdom beside it is discount dragon and next door is BA'S Mississauga

Aquatic kingdom and dragon are more fish r2o and Canada corals more corals

If you do hit discount can you see if they have some giant betas in stock?

Problem is it takes an hour to get there Mississauga I lived at Sherway gardens condos for a couple years so I'm familiar with the area.

Seaumarine and North American fish breeders are further. But seaumarine sweet corals and super cheap fish. Both are cheap.

I have no idea where RR is.

Let me say this. I will be with my Fiance, who although accepting of this new Hobby of mine, has a certain limit of patience. On top of that, 9 months pregnant with a due date 3 days out. If I try to hit all those places, frankly I will be a dead man. I've taken her to CC before and I'm safe for sure there because it's like 2 minutes off the 401 for us.

I'm all set for fish at the moment. Looking for slightly larger pieces right now. So that said, any reconsideration's of destinations and how far each is from the other? We will leave KW after lunch.

I grew up in MIssisauga. Erin Mills, so I know generally where things are, but more the other side of town, and that was years ago.

Any input is great.
THanks

With the new information on your situation maybe stick close to home. The big thing is most of these places will be getting stuff in a few days from now. But with my list only R2O has bigger well priced pieces. RR is expensive but some nice stuff they have a Facebook page for address. Same side as kingdom same street just a couple minutes down the street.

Thanks for the shout out, nice to see some support to the affiliates that are active on this local forum :)

Maybe if you shaved your beard and those lions you keep you wouldn't scare everyone away.

Hey Nighthawk, just my 2 cents but the Dundas Strip in Mississauga (AK, Dragon, BA) is heavily congested with traffic at this time of year. Also, while I love Canada Corals, it's near the airport and again the traffic on 401 will be heavy
With a 9 month pregnant mother of your child along for the ride, I'm surprised that she has any patience left, ; ) so I wouldn't push it in my opinion !
Since you're closer to BIGSHOW or Coral Reef, may I suggest that you hit one or both of these fine sellers. Plenty to choose from and not so much time on the road. Plenty of great advice from those sellers too which you may or may not get on the Dundas strip. Maybe Red is working at Coral Reef and he is a delight to talk with
I'm a guy that spends my life on the road so if I can miss out on some traffic I am always happy to do so
Save a Mississauga run for January when the streets are empty (sort of empty!) : )

If you want to see a little store with some nice corals and they have some big pieces.

Ocean Abyss Aquatics Address: 1070 Rymal Rd E, Hamilton, ON L8W

If you don't mind going with an old dude to T.O let me know after everything is settled and you can ride shotgun. I have a full size pickup with a back seat.

Ok. I'm open to going to Hamilton as well. No issues dealing with BIGSHOW at all. It is closer, and for sure less congestion. Let me make sure there wasn't some sort of ulterior motive and Square 1 or something isn't planned into things. I had just read REEF SHOP was pretty heavily picked over, that's why I thought GTA way. Maybe I can check out BIGSHOW, and this Abyss place. Assuming they are all similar areas. BIGSHOW, can you fire me an email with details (mikezuliani at hotmail dot com.) headed to Cambridge for lunch now form KW then will leave from there. Hopefully with a plan in place.

Thanks guys.
