Anyone have any good suggestions on forcing my rbta to split. It's taking up way too much real estate! I had the tank torn down a few weeks ago and had it moved twice. Thought that would stress it enough but it didn't. Been overfeeding it with no luck. Blast it with water, during water changes with no luck. It's split a bunch of times in the past, and I don't think it's ever been this big before. Any other ideas?
Thanks!

When I bought one from Kevin Tran, it wouldn't come off the rock so he put it in his sump. 2 days later it came off the rock, and also split. Coincidence maybe. Maybe not.

Nothing has worked for my flame BTA as well and it has gotten huge. Blasting it during the water change works better if it is colder water. Just let a bucket of salt water get to room temp.

As some one had mentioned the nem split to reproduce when in stress so do something to stress it out. I put my in the sump with only fuge light witch lid 24 hour, I was hoping with different angle of light it will move and it did, also split. Win win

I've done lots to stress it with no luck. It sat in a much cooler tank of water while I tore down my tank a few weeks ago to put down new flooring. Though that would do it for sure, but nothing!

Do the extreme! Put a knife across it mouth and slice it. Work every time:(

Only choice here is to remove the rock and work the foot untill it is loose. Then cut it down the middle and in a few weeks it will be two healthy nems.
