Pool Plumbing Supplies For Reefs?

I have an issue with plumbing. I can't find parts to get the return pump to the current plumbing. Was at Lowes, home depot. I was told that they have nothing like this and that I have to go to a pool supply store. nothing is easy. I called the Pool store in Brantford and they don't carry it, called the suppliers ad they don't sell to the public but recommended a store that is closed for the winter. Any ideas?
Here is the part I need to replace or jerry rig it. I got a plug for the one port the other one is smooth on the inside 1 1/4 inch but I have to reduce it some way and then either put a flex tubing connection to a shunt or hard plumb the bugger.

Go find a Noble Trade near you (Cambridge), or a similar place to that. Bring what you have, tell them what you need, and they should be able to help.

Sorry the pic doesn't really help but both outlets(connections are smooth) One is 1 1/4 inches and the other is 3/4.

The one 1/ 1/4 requires a smooth connection which I have been told is hard to get. usually use pvc but have to buy a full 10 ' length.
The big end needs to have a barb to connect to a hose and then the other end to the DC12000 internal pump I have bought.

Thanks

Try a home plumbing store that sells tubs and bathroom stuff only etc. I can find most of what I want at Chatham Plumbing. They cater to high end bathroom products and plumbing repair services. But when it comes to pipe, I have to buy a full 10' as well.

Tsc has poor PVC selection anymore but a good supply of pex and barbed fittings for hoses. I have a fair number of 1.25 fittings if i know exactly what you need. I will look through my archives. Not sure about 1.25 pipe but I think I might have some pieces left.

I'm still confused. Just show 2 pieces you need connected, and their size. By smooth, I assume you mean slip connection?

From what I'm reading, you basically seem to need bushings to get you from 1 1/4 to 3/4. Is that correct?

Well thanks for the offer!
I will need to reduce the 1.25 down to a barbed fitting 1 inch I believe it would be the same on both ends. I picked up a 3' length of branded hose and not sure if it was too large.

Looks to me like it's a part from a repair coupling, an elbow and a reducing t. I know that my dc12000 I used an 1 1/2 threaded coupler to the pump, you could then use pipe or start into flexible pipe of sorts.

Does the pump have a threaded fitting with a barb connection you add too it? Did it come with it, or you need that?
it comes with both the connections barbed, one for pump and other for return. The pump one is easy already to go. but the issue is to get the other end connected to the 1.25. I believe both barbed have an 1inch threaded connector

So I need a smooth connector to fit in the 1.25 and then reduce it to the 1 inch I believe threaded connector that comes with the pump.

1.25" slip-threaded adapter shouldn't be hard to find is there still a Lowe's in Brantford??? If it is an issue I have some, as well as 1.25 threaded ball valves and bushings to go down from there. It sounds like you have the barbed fittings although I would not use them unless you need to. Plumbing with hard PVC and/or SpaFlex is more efficient and better looking...but that may not be an option....

I was at both Lowes and Home Depot last night and they have nothing. I asked if they could get it in and both guys said no. Go to Pool supply company. I called two today and one supplier and one is closed for the winter the other one doesn't want to be bothered ordering a part for me and the supplier said they don't sell to the public. Not much love out here. The plumbing guys at the box stores looked at me like I had three heads when I showed them the part.

I agree, Home hardware in Woodstock will order the parts (from Plasco) which you can go there and get for a lot cheaper... ask Pipes on the site, he is a plumber and maybe he has something to help you out...

It's nice having Chatham plumbing local, but I'm not sure that type of store with that much stock is very common.
