What Foods Do You Use?

I have several foods that I currently use to feed my tanks but am wondering about some new ones as well. Here's a list of the foods I alternate with right now ...

Frozen Brine Shrimp (Thawed and rinsed)
Frozen Mysis Shrimp (Thawed and rinsed)
LRS Reef Frenzy
Cobalt Aquatics - Pro Breeder Flakes (Occasionally)
Reef Roids (Occasionally)
Frozen Shrimp and Scallop mix - From the grocery store thawed and chopped up in various sizes for anemones and fish (Once every couple weeks)
Oh ... and I also have some Nori which is seldom used.

I don't really have many fish and will likely end up having far more corals than fish. I currently have only one SPS, a few LPS and several softies (leathers, mushrooms, etc.)

So what foods do you use or recommend? I've been thinking of getting some Coral Frenzy pellets. And I've been wondering if I should soak the frozen food in Selcon? Also thought about making my own blender mush. :D

For corals: reef frenzy, reef roids, reef chili.

I also like first bites lps pellet for spot feeding lps, they are really small which helps lps digest the food imo.

For fish: pellets, pe mysis and fish/reef frenzy

Thanks for the reply. HMMM ... I'm fairly certain that I have some First Bites from back when I was breeding some small egg-laying freshwater fish. Never thought of using those. Have you ever used the larger sized Coral Frenzy pellets for the LPS?

I make my own food, sometimes if you are feeding prepared foods, pellets, flakes etc.. you can sour your tank pretty quick...I agree with a balanced diet and I know what is going in my tank....

Yes I agree which is why I was thinking of making my own mixture at some point. The flake food is just for those lazy days or when I've been super busy and need to feed something quick. I don't use much and all the fish and shrimps seem to like it. Probably like McD's for them. LOL

I've seen a lot of DIY blender mush recipes online but some people get really extravagant with it. I've read about vitamin enriched decapsulated brine shrimp but never see those for sale at the LFS. Feel free to post any SECRET recipes that any of you use. Does anybody here use SELCON to add extra vitamins?

I'm not so sure any more. With dogs it's best to stay with one brand and have consistency, like other pets as well. I think if you have a food that works and has everything needed there is no need to change up what your feeding. Trout farms feed the same food until they are harvested.

I love New Era Marine Pellets and Algae pellets. I am currently feeding First Bites marine and also algae pellets. Fish love them in both cases. I have a lot of fish, so I go through frozen very quickly and find pellets a better choice for my tank. I feed Reef Chili to my corals a couple times a week.

I don't think that the First Bites that I have are MARINE! Would that be a problem ... I figured they might be good for some LPS and Mushrooms etc.

Like many, New Life Spectrum has been a staple. Along with rinsed and PE Mysis and Reef Frenzie and Nori. I have for the last 2 weeks started a sport of blend of some Fauna Marin. After making sure they liked each individually, I mixed these together. Everyone seems beyond pleased. I like the higher protein, no fillers and some key vitamins for balance.
