Be careful that the line where your freshwater comes out of, is higher than the pump in the ATO reservoir. Depending on your pump, water line, etc., you risk creating a siphon and emptying your entire reservoir into your tank. I have a Tunze Osmolator and recently had this problem, but was able to catch it before any harm was done. Good luck!

so the ATO is up and running, Great so far, no issues.. I added a half dose of Lanthanum Chloride (1ml per gallon) and I added 2.5ml to the 5g jug..tested the po4 this morning, its still off the chart BUT, the colour is not as dark as it has been..my fingers are crossed that I am heading in the right direction...I am taking this slow as the po4 didn't happen over night...
Pull the GFO reactor off until things get under control...
another big or good size (35-40 g) water change tomorrow...

When I had mine I had it hooked to the apex. If I left it on auto will run some water out of the freshwater tank make sure the end of the tube isn't in yur sump or whatever as it will suction out of the freshwater tank I always had a camera setup watching my tank and sump. So when it go down I turned it on

So it is Tunze? if you have only the float sensor and no optic sensor then it is Tunze 3152. Tunze distributor Canada acknowledged via email that they had issue with their ATO. I will not buy their ATO for sure.

I returned mine and got Smart ATO micro. So far so good. knock on wood.

sorry it is a Tunze, it has the float switch plus the optic sensor.. I believe its the 5017 model...so far so good, the water level in the sump has remained constant and I have a lot of water evaporation in my apartment...my normal top up for that tank is 5 -6g a week..
