Kalk Help

So I think I want to give kalk a shot. Currently running two part on my 220g but not really happy with my ph which fluctuates from 7.9 to 8.0 throughout the day.
I suppose the easiest thing to do is to add it to my top off water, but my refilling procedure is pretty random. Usually when I'm working on the tank I'll turn on my RODI to add some to my 20g brute, so I have concerns over accurately measuring how much kalk is being added to the reservoir. I'm thinking a reactor is the best bet so looking for some advice.

For me, I use a salt bucket to hold water for my ato. I measure 4 gallons add 8 teaspoons of calcium hydroxide (kalk) mix and voila. The amount of kalk will depend on your tanks needs. Repeat when empty.

What are you liking about the PH in that range? I guess I am asking what negative impact are you seeing that you are wanting to raise it?

Don't test that. Just measure alk, mg, ca. Once I get the apex setup, i'll know better what it is.

From a lot of different sources a ph closer to 8.3 is better for coral growth and health.

Most sources will say 7.8 to 8.3 is fine, and chasing it will generally cause more issues than help. Assuming other parameters are in check.
