so , let’s say if I were to buy a healthy looking mandarin goby , I have thousands of pods all over my dt , so I really don’t want to buy pods to put in a qt

Have you guys qt them before or just acclimate and toss em in .

I would take a small piece of live rock from your DT and put it in your QT. the amount of pods that you would get should feed it until quarantine is over. If you have Cheato you could put a small piece of that in the QT also. If you do that do not put too much in as the mandarin could get caught in it and die. Most Cheato has tons of pods in it.
