Really throwing around the option of the Aquatic life T5 hybrid option for my tank.
But, want to know if anyone else has one?
By the look of it, the set comes with a fitting for a Kessil which is good. But I’d need to attach a hanging kit? I’d prefer legs sitting on top of rimless but I don’t see as an option. Looks like the hanging kit is around $100/side.
Am I reading correctly?
No other extra pieces needed?
Also not happy with the thought of another cord for power coming off each side of the fixture.

But this has no dimming, timers etc. I would need to run off my reef keeper ( I know, so dated).

Any other feedback on this light system?

For a rimless 65g cube that hanging lights are not an option.

G4?
I like the sounds of that too.
I don’t think I require pro.
Cost is the factor.

I like the thought of moonlights too!
Damn it.
Stop getting me off track!!

Sell the Kessils and offset some of the cost...

I forget who I was talking to on this. But Aquatic Life wasn't known for having the best quality ballasts for the T5. I had originally looked at this option instead of building my lighting fixture because of this. Just a though and something you should look into if you can find use cases on the T5.

Ok
Good to know.
I really wasn’t amazed by the system but over my tank I’m limited. I can’t piece something together.

I watched a video where the guy took the brand new unit, out of the box, disassembled it, drilled holes in it with a dremel so both cords would come out the same side.

+1 on aquatic life end caps. I had to replace all of mine at one point. Easy fix but annoying, oh yes and I replaced the ballast on that fixture too. I think my diy led fixture lasted longer.
Just my experience though could have been a dud. Plus that was a few years back.

I've been running the 24" with the XR15 pro for about 5 months now and so far I'm happy with them. At $299.99 for the unit I cant really complain about the cord issue or cheap end caps. But if either of the ballast give out anytime soon that will be a different review.
