Did anyone notice that they removed their Boxing Day special banner? I also noticed that their pricing on Red Sea tanks were changed to normal already. They said that it will be no tax for today and tomorrow. Did they change their mind and cut their sale short?

Ad is still on their FB page. Corlas up to 60% off ends Dec 27th and entire store is no tax. Should be interesting to see why they changed their mind. There is a note that says "Does not apply to some hardware items" in a comment, however if that was their banner without that notation, then they are breach of some dealer agreements. They probably were also getting a lot of flack from people trying to get Apex and Ecotech brands with 10% off as he would not have had permission from the manufacture to do so.

What was that all about? They advertised it everywhere and the changed it on Boxing day?? I know they have the right, but man that speaks very loudly about how they run their business. It makes one worry of their business practice and after sales service and etc. Good thing there are other places to do business with and still running their Boxing Day sale.

Honestly I believe someone, whether it be customer or another vendor, called them out on the sale as it was breach of contract. Large companies such as Red Sea, Apex, GHL, Fauna Marin, Ecotech etc etc all have what is known as a MAP agreement. They can not advertise another price without permission and if 1 store has an authorized sale, then all people who carry the product also have the sale. I did not see them on sale anywhere else in Ontario.

Also, why would then they removed the sales no tax banner completely from their website for the rest of their products? It does not make sense.

Easier just to turn the sales off then redo it all.

In all honesty it is just an educated guess. It could have been cancelled for another reason or even a site glitch where the date turning off the sale was wrong

So they clarified via email that the Red Sea tanks were 13% off as they need to charge HST. They said they can extend the sale today. I didn’t ask them why the sale banner was removed.

All clear on my part.

Red Sea is on sale at big als. So are the aquaviews (IMO better)
