You're going to need a pex-to-push T fitting for the size line that your RO/DI makes. You'll also need the tool and a couple of rings for the pex line, or there might be a shark fitting that might fit. Even a place like HD should be able to trick you out on the parts if you find one of the orange vest guys that lurk in there. You will cut the pex and put the T fitting in line (which is likely easier than finding a t-threaded-and-push-fitting piece to just thread into the shutoffs). Since you are tapping in before the shutoffs, you'll also want a plastic shutoff valve for your RO/DI feed line, otherwise it will be pressurized all the time, and that can go south real quick. Hopefully that makes sense?

I don't see any PEX there, I can take a picture of what I use right now which is connected to the laundry cold line. I'm currently in process of moving that, I also picked up the drain tap for the waste water, I'll get pictures of both for you.

It would look something like this but would need to be a "T" for your application,((first pic) you could also use a saddle valve. (Second pic) Might work a little easier for you since you don't seem to know much about plumbing. No offense. Can also get a saddle valve for the drain also which would keep all your plumbing in that same location.( third pic)

Hard to tell the diameter of that plumbing but you might wanna consider a John Guest Angle Stop Valve for your source water plumbing. Simply shut off your water and pop this in place, connnect your RO unit source water tubing, then simply turn the ball valve open during use and closed when not. I prefer this method as a renter as I don't need to damage the plumbing everytime we move just for my tank. All I need to do is put my waste water line down my sink and turn that ballvalve and instantly my RODI is making water, takes me maybe 30 seconds including manually flushing my RO membrane to prevent TDS creep.

All I had to do to install was turn off the water with the chrome ballvalve, untighten the chrome nut attaching to the braided hosing (You'll likely have some water in the line so prep a towel for drips), screw the JG angle stop valve on, retighen the chrome nut now onto the JG valve, connect the RO source water, then turn the water back on with the chrome ballvalve. When I wanna make water I just flip the blue ballvalve down and it opens the cold water line up to the RO unit. My RO tubing colours might be different then yours as I've customized my Spectrapure to better suit my needs. Hopefully that all makes sense! Just remember the 1/4" vs 3/8" valve size difference is your RO Tubing diameter, if your not sure which you have, but its a standard run of the mill RO unit, its probably 1/4".

this is the way I’d go too!
Clean and always good to have a separate shutoff for RO unit only.

Thank you! That look easy! I will get Spectrapure unit. So do you think it is 1/4” then?
I wonder if HD or Lowe’s sell the JG valve.

I think I ordered mine on Amazon if I remember correctly, but its been a while. You don't HAVE to use a Spectrapure, I actually picked it up used a while back. My favourite unit I ever owned was a BRS unit actually, but honestly its more the filters you use then the branding. Spectrapure does offer the highest member rejection % though if I'm not mistaken. Standard RO unit tubing is 1/4".
