For sale:
Checkerboard Wrasse
He is approximately 5 inches in length- this is about half his adult size
Show Quality with a very healthy appetite
He has a good range of food interests, feeding on flake, pellet, frozen mysis and brine shrimp daily
This fish is extremely active at any time of the day/ night making him very interesting to watch and a perfect addition to any ‘mature tank’.
The picture does not do him justice
His coloration is beautiful.
His face is blue green with orange/ pinkish lines flowing into his checker board pattern. A yellow spot behind his face marks the beginning of the body which has a green/ blue hue behind the checker pattern. Moving down he has a striking yellow tail. Coloration dependent on the lighting.
As much as I wish to keep this beautiful fish, he is in need of another home. My tank no longer has enough room for him. He needs to have the proper amount of space and territory that he deserves and requires. I’m looking to try to find him at least a 120 gallon home.
He prefers to be the only wrasse in the tank. Depending on the size and/or set up of your system he might be fine with other wrasses, with caution.
He’s currently in my sump so I can catch him easily without over stressing him too much.
I have had this wrasse for 2+ years and I am sad to see him go.
If you believe you can give him a proper/ forever home please contact me.
Price is $175 as this is a large size which is hard to find, super healthy, well fed and more prominently colored (mid adult) specimen.
