2 Anemone Split

hey guys I just thought I'd ask as I'm kind of worried so first off my tank has been running for over a year now and it's completely cycled and has gone through a lot of different algaes but now is in near perfect/clean state and my bioload is low with 2 fish and afew snails and hermits. So I have had my gbta anemone for quite a while and it hasn't moved but it was getting big but yesterday it split and 1 half stayed put and the other is somewhat hiding so I thought I'd let it be but today my 2nd small anemone split and I just got it about 3 weeks ago so I'm wondered if I should be worried as I went from 3 nems to 5. I keep my salinity at 1.026 and at 78-80 degrees. I do 5 gallon water changes on my 30g weekly. So should I be worried or what should I do.

Let it be , be thankful your tanks doing great and they are probably happy , my anemone did the same thing split into 4's I would sell some if you don't have the space , I've had some anemones die / chopped up in the filter and spit back out yours looks very healthy and you'll be fine .

Ok thanks and I put mesh on the bottom of my power head so hopefully they stay below them lol and I plan to sell or trade at least 2 when they heal which I hope is fast

My large nem split and then a week later the clone split as well. It just means your nem is healthy enough that when the clone split it still had enough energy stored to safely split again. The shorter time between splitting is a sign your nem is really healthy. You need to worry if you had it for over a year and it didn't split. On average it should split once every 6 months if you feed it a lot it will split even more frequent if you feed it less it will happen less often. A nem that refuses to split for over a year is a sure fire sign it isn't completely happy or underfed.

Time to relax and pat yourself on the back. People wish they had this problem lmao :D

Lol yea my big nem split into 2 and then my completely different nem split the day after and yea I've had the big nem for about 6 months and I do feed all my nems about 3 times a week. I'm glad it's a good sign and plus none of the half nems are melting and there tentacles are all inflated so that's good too

My clones always look and do better than my original.... Figures! Although after publicly shaming his lack of bubbling he moved to the back wall and bubbled hahaha.... Who says shaming doesn't work :)

I'm not sure as I like the bubbles but on my tank they go stringy and get longer tentacles for some odd reason
