2 Part Dosing Amount

Just about to start dosing 2 part for my 90 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump system and was wondering how much I should start with? My calc is around 420 and my alk is about 6 dkh. I have about half sps and half lps with probably about 10 frags sps, 3 mini colonies and 2 large colonies. Up until now I have just been using Kalkwasser.

Start with the basic "recommended" amount. Test often, like daily and adjust accordingly until you've dialled it in.

Like pulp said. There is no magic number to start from. Every system is different in their consumption rates. You'll just need to play with it until you've dialled in the right amounts.

BTW 6dkh is really low. Don't increase it more than 1 point per 24 hours. But I'd recommend to target 8.0-8.5 with a CA reading of 420

I have a 90 gal LPS zoa tank and dose 56ml daily each of ca and alk to maintain 420 and 9.9 dkh.

i always test then dont dose at all for 7 days then test again if you divide how much the levels dropped by 7 you can calculate exactly how much you need to replenish each day by dosing. the amount will vary depending what brand and product.
