This isn't a knock on you flasky. Like I said maybe the bigger one is just to aggressive. It attacks me non stop while working I'm my tank. It will even attack the net.  I just really don't want to lose a fish that a paid big cash for. So I'm reaching out to the community for help and ideas.
both of my tomato clowns attack me and the net.  ..even draws blood if they get a good bite. ..they get along with the others. ....its been goin on or 2 years

So I'm thinking I'm gonna separate them, the little one will only come out of hiding if its time to eat, it's also losing it colour and when it does come out it swims like crazy all over the tank. So which one do I remove? The big one or the little one ?

Yea I'm rocking a 29g biocube. Doesn't matter where the smaller one goes it gets attacked. And none of the lfs have anything in stock to separate the 2 lol

Remove the big one, let the little one roam tank alone, then maybe try adding the larger one back after a few weeks. I had a small black clown in 17 gallon tank, it was there for around a few months, then added a full grown black pair...thinking in my head I hope the little guy can hide. Just so happens he's the boss of the other 2 larger ones...maybe because he sees it as his home and the larger ones are visitors and must be under his rules.

Like I originally said I would split them ASAP, or you're going to lose a fish. Buy a 5 gallon tank and do a water change, take the old water, use it in the 5 gal, toss in a heater, powerhead. Ate easy you know your not going to lose a 100$ fish this way. How's is the smaller fish even under that rock lol

just buy a breeder net and put the big one in it then. easier on both fish.

Agree, something at least to give the little guy a break.

Ok guys just put the bigger one in the breeder cage. The little one has lost a lot of colour and has some torn fins. How long should I keep them like this? What will it achieve?

This will achieve time, time to sell one, or time to get another set up for one.  If they were kept together any longer one would have not made it.  I would sell one,  the small ones is beat up and torn fins I don't think you would get what ya paid. Glad you got them apart.

If it was me I would give it a week, get the little one out from under the rock and eating. Get him back healthy and get him some confidence.. Then try again.. If it doesn't work then u might have to sell one

That's such a shame. So does that mean if I have to sell one that I shouldn't ever add another one?

Also the smaller one is out and won't leave the side of the net. You can tell it wants to be with the bigger one
