30g Dwarf Lionfish Tank

I have just acquired a 30g tank that has gravel, fake plants and other decorations. It's currently a freshwater with a couple mollies in it that I am wanting to convert it into a saltwater.

I have always been a huge fan of Lionfish(the dwarfs especially) and would love to keep one in this tank. I currently have a 14g mixed reef, so I know quite a bit about the hobby.

My question is...is it possible to keep a dwarf with a couple pounds of rock, but only live sand, fake plants, decorations with a HOB filter? Also, what lights will it need?

check out live aquarium, they have info on keeping them...I think that you will need a few pieces of rock...

They call for a min 50 gallon tank my suggestion is more room for a fish like that. 14 gallon is really on the small size.

It would be going in a 30g. My 14g is my current tank, just saying what I had experience with.
