4 Mp40 And Gyre 150. Flow Choices

I'm struggling to figure out some good flow patterns, and need some advice.

My tank is a 220 g. 72 long, 30 wide and 24" tall. I have external rear C2C overflow. My rock work is pretty much 2 islands, and it's mostly sps with some LPS and zoos down low, with a couple clams.

Tank is lit with 2 lumenmax large, as well as a Hamilton pendant in the middle.

I have a gyre 150, and I also have 2 mp40WES as well as 2 mp40QD.

I don't get great PE on my sps, but I've just added a calcium reactor to level things out, and the growth is improving, as well as the pe.

Currently, I have the gyre 150 on the left, and 2 mp40 QD on the right side in reef crest.

When I look at the Ecotech calculator, they say I need 2 mp40, which I think is light for this length and width.

The gyre certainly moves a lot of water, and I have quite a bit of flow across the bottom of the tank.

I guess I have too many choices here, and my brain won't compute lol

Getting to the back is going to be difficult, but potentially doable.
id like to get the most flow I can, without blowing things off the rocks lol.

I really need some advice on this.

I just got a gyre for Xmas and I'm playing with how it's flow will work with other things too so following....and if I find anything good I'll let you know...

I'm wondering how/if it is going to work with my wavebox. If anyone has tried that combo would love to hear about it.

Good topic....lots of gyre owners post about it alone but not much out there about how it works with other devices...

I have it at about 60%. Any more than that it starts moving my substrate. I find that it really doesn't do much for the sps at the side of the tank it's on. The lps gets some flow along the bottom, but it really doesn't help mid tank. I like the flow on the gyre, and on smaller tanks or lps or softy tanks it could be a single flow source. For sps it definitely isnt enough.

On the advice of @BIGSHOW, I went and picked up another gyre 150 for the opposite end of the tank, and moved one of my mp40 QD to the opposite end as well. Now each end has an MP40 and a gyre. I have the gyre operating in reversing mode <> and they change every 15 minutes. I just waited till one switched direction before I turned the other one one.

I'm letting a clam attach to a pice of rock, so I turned all the flows way down. Thing is, there is a TON of flow even with everything running around 30%.

There is a control box available for it by ICECAP, but in reality, I'm not going to drop another $400 on a breakout box. My simple, no charge solution should do it.
