Made from solid mat'l, I would say the nice thick alu block is a good way to reduce noice as aposed to the sheet metel transferring all vibrations

the fans are not hard mounted to the fan adapter. we used some rubber grommits so the fans actually float and the vibrations dont travel to the all the metal in the light. They also spin a lot slower so they bump around so much.

thanks guys - it took some patience to get it to this place and lots of money. I had a dino outbreak that i think just went away on its own and the system is finally getting coraline growth - getting some neat red stuff along with the purple. System balancing has been the key and with so little rock and so much life (30 frags plus 12 fish and inverts) bio filtration has been struggling. Rob and I are working on increasing the bio filtration shortly and the new sump should be going in by the end of the month so the increased water volume should help.

recently started some Prodibio supplements to fight some bacterial growth and man my water has never been cleaner. Took off the bio pellets and am just running chemi pure elite in a hob filter while i figure out my reactors for the new sump. Gotta thank Bill at IA for introducing me to Prodibio - loving the stuff so far!

Group order on teh dosers and leds came in so i will be adding some royal blue and actinic leds to the 8 bulbs already over the tank. Should be pretty neat and i cant wait to see the potential of the true violets on my tank.

I will be switching out my return pump and skimmer pump shortly and possibly selling my vortech mp10 to upgrade to a bigger but quieter powerhead. Also got new fans for the cabinet to make my system totally silent.

What is your dosing schedule like and my understanding is that it works like biopellets?

one vial of the bacteria stuff once every two weeks. there is this food assist vial as well that can dose with the bacteria - i added that as well this week and the corals all went crazy for it... i had polyps out on everything when everything is usually closed up.

I see the sunset and palmers milleporas seem to be growing well.  Where is the cobalt tort?  Hope that one is doing well.

Sorry to inform you but the Sealife special ice blue acro has red bugs..... 

Also the green with envy is hydnophora....nice and shaggy green...quite common, I had one once.  Watch out for the sting on that one....it will kill almost anything except for maybe hammers and frogspawn.

I was just going to let you know that looked around today and found that pill.  So I have one if you need it. 

If you are going to do a medicine tank you have to take ALL your acros out and get them medicated and do it 3 times.

I also have this other stuff - heart work medication - that worked for this vet when interceptor didnt. Didnt recommend doing the whole tank so i will have to remove the acros. I want the interceptor to kill the bugs that are roaming and arent on the acros. I'll do a review on the stuff when i dose.
