Well now I can say that I have read this build thread.  What I can say is that you definitely need more wires hanging everywhere to make this an epic build..

My kid wants to know what a $#&@%# @$$^!#$,  and a !&*$#@ is, and why a #@^&$ would give an elf a $@%& in it's !#$%^ and why santa shoved a @%& in his $%^$^.  Man those are hard questions to answer!  ;D

Next time if you have more time, we'll just go to the bar downstairs.  Man the words those walls have witnessed... www.somersetbar.ca

Cheers!

haha!  I'm even adding more lights to the dancefloor so you can enjoy *your* style of music!! :)

Truth be told, when I reno'd the bathroom, I had looked into a urinal, my wife absolutely forbid it, as she thought guys would be pissing all over the walls.  I gave in if I could have the industrial ice machine...happy wife, happy life, right?  RIGHT?

What's funny is that one of the things keeping me from putting a tank in the bar is the fog machine.  I don't know how glycol and corals will mix :)

...for the record, I was just trying to figure out how to use video editing software when I made that, it tends to drag on a bit.

Being a committed alcoholic takes almost as much effort as reefkeeping.  8)

So just out of curiosity... the 2 mp-10's are on the same side, is that because there's no clearance on the other side (I know it's a built in tank).  Just curious because I want to do the side to side wave with heads on both sides of the tank.  ??

you can create a wave with both powerheads on one side (synced) or on opposide side (anti sync)

i will be moving both power heads into the cabinet by drilling out the wood on the other side of the tank so that viewing pane is clear. Its actually the main viewing pane from one of my living room couches.

gives me an excuse to use my new milwaukee drill  8)

Heh it sure doesn't look like you have any problems with flow in there!! :)

Now the noise...does it bother you?  It's pretty audible, although I guess if you move them inside the shelving it might be a whole lot quieter?  Maybe build them into a noiseproof housing?  I guess with most powerheads being underwater a lot of the motor noise is only enjoyed by the fish, I never thought about that, as I really liked the idea of not having the motors in the tank.

its loud... i spent a lot of money making and buying quiet things... but there was no way around the vortechs.

they will be quieter in the cabinet (hopefully and I can deaden the sound much more once they are inside.

i might be selling the vortechs... i really want some tunze 6095s!  BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
