Adding Rock Back Into The Tank

So on Tuesday I took a piece of rock out of the tank that had some algee on it aND scrubbed it. My wife then called me as my dog was sick...we've spend the last few days...and a couple grand at the vets....now this rock has been sitting out in a bucket with no water for 3 days...can I add it back to the tank or will their be dead crap on the rock now that will be bad for the tank?

There will be death in the rock but you will be ok. I have added a new rock here and there and nothing happened. As far as the death, your skimmer will pull it out.

As for your rock, I agree that there will be dead material on it but you should be ok to re-introduce it
I would monitor ammonia for a few days and then check nitrate to ensure that the "die off" hasn't created a small spike
