If you have 1/2 it will take much longer with the weaker magnet version. So 1/2 or thicker get the long and strong.

These work really well also. A little expensive but works wonders on Coraline and that tough green Algae that you have to go over and over and over.

yes, Tunze cleaner mags are great- I have the strong model and it does an awesome job cleaning through 3/4" glass

Have had it for about 18 months

wish the magnet could be a little stronger AND it doesn't float

It's worth the price, one of the best IMHO

Why can't they invent one that's like a Roomba, that will remotely clean the glass at night? Shape it like a snail or something cool.

Vertex has one that doesn't float as well "Hexaplex"
Floating is a pretty good feature :(

@TORX - That RoboSnail is very cool. Needs to be about 10 or 20 times smaller though. Well for my tank it does anyways. ;)

As for the Tunze Care Magnet I wonder if you could seal a piece of airline tubing or similar at both ends and attach it to the back of the in-tank piece. Something with enough air to make it float. HMMMM. I also found this video regarding the Tunze useful.

Wait ... now I'm confused. I watched videos where they state that it comes with an extra small and large plastic piece for the ends. I guess it's only an issue if you want both ends to be the larger size.

I have two, the nano and the full size. I also have the Flipper, which I much prefer. For acrylic I just use a mr clean magic eraser, I don't think you can beat it.

Well it's between the flipper and the Tunze. I have the nano flipper and need a stronger one for the 60 cube. Torn between which one to get.
