Apex vs Apex Jr vs lite

Thinking about getting a controller but just curious in the major differences between the two. I don't require it to control my lights as they are completely programmable. I do have two Jabeo wp40 that i would like more control over. I know its between the Apex and Jr so what's the advantages. Thanks

WP40 can not be controlled through it without a DIY harness that is not available on market.

Jr is 4 outlets vs 8.... No variable voltage poets.... No ph port.... Just temp...

Apex has 8 ports ... 4 variable ports... Ph probe included with hook up for a second port for orp or another ph probe.... Plug for a break out box to hook float switches and one and off gadgets to....


You could buy the jr and then buy the module and add on the variable ports... Not sure what the cost is going to be.  You will need the variable ports to run the jeboas.

They all run the same software and have interchangeable modules.  I all depends what you want to do withy them.

Neopimp has summed it up very well. When I purchased my Apex, I bought just pieces to build mine, as for me...I really didn't want the display unit as I just use my phone and always have it. Currently I am running, Apex JR (4 outlet), 1 EB8(8 outlet), I then have a PM1 module which I run both a temp and PH probe off of.

i would recommend the display, if neptunes site or you isp goes down then you would not have access to your controller.

Connecting locally has nothing to do with ISP or Neptune at all.

I like the display so I can see at a glance when I walk past what the tank is doing... plus it looks bad ass to people visiting. 

Bob is correct.... inside your own househodl wireless network you will be able connect regardless of wat the outside world is doing

if your phone is one th internet... and the household internet is up.. then you can access apex from anywhere on the planet.

I thought the delay was cuz it was linking through neptune.

this is coming tho. the fusion update is set to offer a paid monthly subscription iirc. it should include a port forwarding address and an actual fusion website you can visit without actually connecting to the controller directly.

Based on your needs, looks like you would be best to get the full Apex.

I have the Jr along with an EB8 and it does everything I want and runs the exct same software as the full version. I also will be getting the WXM module to fully control my Ecotech pumps.  They changed it now, so you have to get the face controller. Before you could get the Jr for $150 and that was a steal.
