So I decided to order my apex full , from unibob ... I am very excited about this ... been doing some reading ... and it seems i need to plug in a ethernet cable into the unit ... this is sorta of a issue ... my router is up in the living room above the tank .... so i was going to drill threw the floor run it across the ceiling then across the floor ... but there must be something else i could try ... somone suggested a repeater ?>?? I guess it will pass a signal threw our walls and floors .... whats everyone else done ???? I guess i could call rogers to move it down stairs ... thoughts ....

Yes, wireless game adapter, powered and plugged into an electrical outlet. From there, run the ethernet. Their are some popular ones, just can't recall off hand. NEVER do a firmware update from that set up...EVER. Always hardwire the Apex to the router and hardwire the computer to the router when doing a firm firmware update.

I connect mine using a wireless router (running DDWRT in repeater mode). it connects the Apex, Arduino, and IP camera which are all close to the tank back to the main router.
