hello all.. Ive just noticed about 8-10 small starfish in my tank.. possibly asterina starfish. Where did they come from? I havent brought anything new into my tank. Should i get rid of them or let them help clean my tank?

Depends what species they are. Some eat zoas and another kind eats algae. Best to post a pic.

They usually come in on liverock as hitchhikers

ill post a pic as soon as I get a chance thanks. Like I said i havent brought anything new at all in my tank. could it be babies from a starfish? I had a large one but it died a couple months ago.

If it's white and has red and black dots it may be a softies coral eater, as I have some and they eat my baby Kenya trees and blue clove polyps, but don't seem to bother the LPS, thank god!!!
