triggers are very nice...
If you have any lps watch the rabbitfish, my yellow blotched loved chewing brains, favia, and acans. Not every rabbitfiah is the same of course. Just thought id pass on my experience with them lol.It looks like my skimmer appreciates the new sump:
I'm still undecided on a new fish, but I think it might be down to either a red tail trigger or orange spotted rabbitfish - leaning more towards the rabbitfish.
I feel your pain, ive been battling hair, cyano and bryopsis algae for the last 4 or 5 months. Alot of my acros are slowly withering away.Lol yeah corraline kind of took over the back wall. I tried scraping the back wall for a bit, but it's a pain with the pipes in the way and I can't go all the way up because the overflow box gets in the way. So I just let it go!
Some corals have exploded, like the red dragon, yellow efflo, and red planet. Others are growing very very slowly. I wish the humilis would do more! And the Hawkins echinata is growing away from the light....
My frag rack was full a few weeks ago so I gave away a bunch of pieces to a buddy.
The algae problem is getting worse every day, and some corals have started receding like the purple cap and undata. I really need to test my water and figure out what's up. My street is under construction right now and I am on temporary that's coming in through a blue pipe - I wondered if some contaminants are getting through my RODI filter, but the output water still says 1ppm. Sump is full of detritus, going to clean it tomorrow, do a big water change and test every parameter I have a kit for.
Finally reworked my drain plumbing today so that all the pipes go into the Skimmer chamber, that should help control sump detritus in the future.
