Yeah phone camera isnt too good. I just like the unique look of it. I think it is a cool addition to my tank.

Next thing you know it a full blown reef.  What a visious cycle.

Another update.    last night I siphoned another 5g of water/cyano off of the sand bed. I thoight I had this stuff beat....  deeznuts seems to think my sand is the problem. 2 ft on either end is about4 inches deep and 1 to 2 inches in the middle. Mostly from flow moving it around. I tested all parameters and...
Alk 8.4
Ca 480
Nitrates  untraceable
PO4  3 ulr
Mg 1280
It seems I may siphon out some sand to reach a 1.5 inch sand bed throughout the whole bottom.  Not ideal to have in between dsb and too little sand......
Other than that everything else seems fine. I thought with all this talk about pellets I would see more coming out of my skimmer but it is light brown tea colour. I also thought between pellets and MB7 they would starve out the cyano?

Sticky note:  Thanks to D I am on day 2 of no ciggys. Ecig all the way. 2 packs a day hanging out of my mouth while worked.....  look at allthe money I will save my wife said..... to buy more corals

I'm thinking about taking all my sand out and going bare bottom, I think it might be cleaner looking.
