Bought a sock holder and a few sock filters in Saturday..  And although a pain in the arse getting return re-plumbed.. Totally worth it!

Tank is much clearer,  and the mess the gold head sleeper goby had been making of the water column is much improved!

Best money I've spent in thus far...

I am in talks with a supplier of industrial grade filter socks. It would be a buy one and never buy again kinda thing, as they could be washed 1000x

I believe they are 200micron,  the holder is an eshopps from what the guy told me..  Its a nifty little giddyup.  Picked it up while in Detroit browsing Stingray Bay.

I like last forever socks please!

I have 3 in my tank, put they plug up so quick! I rinsed them out yesterday, and today they are not allowing water through already. Maybe I need to buy some that aren't so fine. Anyone know if you can throw these in the washing machine to wash or will the soap be an issue? (Sorry to hijack the post)

Re: Best $30 I've spent..

Thanks.. So far 2 days still looking good..  If it's a week for cleanings,  and 6mnths to throw away (wear out) ..

Then back to my first statement,  best $30 I've spent so far.
