I've searched the forum and the internet and can't really find the info I'm looking for. Or perhaps more precisely the light I'm looking for.
I have a 10 gal. half moon tank that came with a light, small filter with some chemi-pure, small mag float and heater. I'd be lucky if the light that came with it could grow ALGAE!! I'd like to use this tank for a frag/quarantine tank. I'm trying to find a reasonably priced light for this tank. I haven't really gotten into SPS yet but that may come at some point. I would like to at least be able to grow low requirement SPS.
It seems that all the lights I find are either fairly cheap and not powerful enough or have great light but cost a small fortune. Obviously I don't mind spending a bit on a decent light but I don't want to break the bank for a 10 gal. tank. I was looking at the "Fluval "Halo" Nano Marine And Reef High Performance LED Fixture - 22 Watts 25,000K" but couldn't really find a ton of reviews on that exact light. (BTW - I research the hell out of EVERYTHING!!
) This light for me is definitely at the high end of the price range that I'd be willing to spend. Realistically I'd like to stay around the $100 mark or lower. I also can't seem to find many used Nano LEDs suitable for reef tanks for sale.
So any thoughts or suggestions any of you have would be appreciated. The tank isn't set up yet but I'd like to get it going within the next month if possible.
Dave.
