Any recommendations for the best place to situate an overflow with a wave maker? I know some guys have had issues with gurgling, etc.

From what I have read, it is recommended to keep them in the middle of the tank. Is it possible to run a wavemaker with two corner overflows?

I run the two overflows with the wavemaker, they are perfectly silent.  Not corners, but a bit off the corners.

I found the wavemaker actually helps reduce gurgle..I have the wavemaker seated directly beside my corner overflow.

If u have a centre overflow and only one standing wave in ur tank then theoretically the centre of the tank will remain at a constant water level and will not see any surge ( if wavemaker is located in the corner of tank).  Placement of wavemaker will effect the phase of the wave.

Thanks for the tips,

I guess for corner overflows it would also depends on the height of the teeth of the overflow boxes too, lower being better.

My preference would probably be to go with an external coast to coast, centered in along the back wall, with a wave maker in the corner?

I have dual corner overflows, they limit the max height that the wavemaker can generate because the crest just washes into the overflow instead of flowing back.  The upside is that I don't have to worry about it splashing over the trim if I turn it up too high.
