I just ordered a small fortune worth of zoa frags and want to ensure there new home is perfect. They will be living in my main tank for a few weeks / months until the new frag tank is running perfectly.
I bought a used 8 bulb t5 fixture and even though the bulbs are only 3 months I'm going to swap them for new.
For growth and colour, whats the best t5 bulb combo/brand to get? I've never had t5 I went from MH to LED...

This is my combo. All ATI bulbs. 5blue plus, 1 coral plus, 1 actinic and 1 purple plus. I think front to back its blue plus, blue plus, actinic, blue plus, coral plus, blue plus, purple plus, blue plus. With my the blue plus and actinic coming on first. Ive been using this combo with great success in my sps dominant mixed reef.

Normally yes but in this case no, you're on your own
Please note that this particular GTA forum member is very old school or should I say eccentric and wants money up front
Won't tolerate any back and forth negotiations or indecision so to speak
Let's just say, don't poke the giant and handle with care
If you don't believe me, take a look at this member's pic on his profile. Ex Russian secret service (Cold War)

Oh I wasn't asking for me, I was just asking to find out why you would recommend buying anything from this individual. I personally have never met the man but I also prefer not to.

I recommended because this man is a reputable seller and keeps his equipment in top shape and generally offers at reasonable prices.
He has got one of the highest ratings on GTA forum but is a no nonsense type of person
His methods are abrupt but be that as it may, if you are seeking high quality used gear, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
For future, I won't waste yours or the forum's time with such suggestions

Finally, let me apologize to the OP as I think I have hijacked your thread ,,,

SamB I guess I didn't word my post well. I didn't mean to offend you at all. I just have been on GTA forum for several years and have grown to only know this man through his posts. I have only his online persona as a character reference. But I guess mine might not go over very well either ;)

I asked a question about fixture and have no response yet to the ad.

He says it is still under warranty and he would help with anything if something did go wrong.

I wanted to know where it was purchased from....but will most likely just pass on the ad now....and spend the $$ on something else lol
