Hey guys noticed some brown stringy type alage forming on the sand bed of the tank and some on the lvie rock. Is this normal? I also noticed my snails cleaning it up is that normal

It  is diatoms it will go away in time snails will clean it up I picked up a sand sifting star fish to help with it and does a great job

Google dinoflagellates.  Hopefully it's just diatoms as suggested, but dinos are always a possibility, and a royal pain.
