I've been watching the BRS160 and as a newbie coming into the hobby I find it very interesting.

Is anyone else watching? a new episode comes out every Friday.

It's a step by step series where they set up and maintain a 160 Gal reef tank. Each week a new 15-20 minute video is released on 1 specific subject.

Week 21 LED lighting, He goes over every popular lights and par readings of each.

Best lights over all in his opinion is T5s then LED then MH. Cadillac of them all is Combo LED/T5s
Need to have a par meter to really setup a LED properly because there is no real way to eye ball it.
t5s you just plug em in and leave it.

Week 24 Carbon, GFO and other filter media. did you know that if you're not removing organic waste via water changes or carbon then you are limiting your lights effectiveness? Also over use of GFO will mask some issues that you have but won't know about because you're using GFO? also too much GFO will stunt sps coral growth?

this is a pretty good series and is informative.
