bulb suggestions...on new fixture

On my 6 bulb i run

3 ati blue plus
2ati aquablue special
1 ati purple plus
but i sometimes switch out with a uvl 454 or geisman actinic plus in place of the one aquablue
special if ur buying bulbs definatly go with ati

I have 4 slots so two 10k and two blue I guess, and yes it's T5, where do you get the ATI bulbs??

too blue for you?

swap out a blue plus for a true actinic or aquablue special

darren has a buttload of ATI bulbs (exotic reef)... i believe incredible aquarium has some limited stock as well.

Wait I thought u had to use 10k bulbs???  That wat LFS was tellin me lol so wat should I use to get my white light?? He'll wat should I use in general lmao

notice how NONE of the LFS's ever have the best looking tanks you have ever seen .. keep that in mind going forward.

you get awesome growth but UGLY ASS colors. its yellow.

some people run 10k halides, then supplement the shit out them with 20k t5's to even it out. ATI Blue plus bulbs have really good PAR (great for growth) and the colors really pop. much more "modern" coloration.

OK thx alot I have a feelin if I would have listened to my LFS I'd have a pretty shitty setup right now. You all on this forum saved my reefing life lmao. So this is what I'm thinking I have a 4 bulb system with 2 switches and it has moon lights, from readings you don't want to turn them on all at once. Like moon into lower blues (first switch) then 2 hours later second switch higher power bulbs?  So I guess what I'm asking is which goes where.  Again sorry for hijacking the post but thanks for all the help
