Calcium Red Sea Test - Crazy Result

Just bough this test:

If you see , there is a difference between this one :

The difference in the element "C" - a way to add titration.
With old one - element C is added by syringe.
With new one - element C is added directly from the bottle by counting dripping.
It would be OK if result is the same.
But NEW one is showing 600, old one 400.
600 is impossible with Mg=1320.
Does anyone have this kit?

Weird, i have only seen the old ones. I don't know if i like the thought of the new style. Maybe it's gone bad? i had a new alk that was bad out of the box. Got a replacement from red sea.

The issue I had with the new one was that since the syringe does not have a 5 marked on it, initially it was hard to ensure that i had exactly 5 mms. But I have figured out that I draw it up higher and then push it out and leave air above the 5 mark to get a more precise reading.
