I wouldn't see why not, if anything the chaeto will help pick up any nutrients the pads didn't catch, win win

I use the filter floss,phosphate and carbon one, but I also don't use any reactors, socks, chaeto, etc. just the pads, I also feed kinda heavy, I change them out about every 3-7 days depending on what day it is and what tank to... I also replace earlier than needed probably, but would rather not have any bad stuff going back into the tank if left to long.. These pads are crazy cheap for how much you get and they they seem to work very well, and don't seem to break down when in use

I would change it every 2 weeks then if I were you @heath, I do mine about every week, just to be on the safe side I'd rather be safe then red slime!!
