thanks, I read that lawnmower blennies can nip at the mantle. I have one and it likes to sit on rocks and kiss the glass but never had it touch anything other than rocks.

Youre still going to have to watch out for fish that are "mostly" reef safe. Dwarf angels and such. We all know each fish is different and will behave differently in tanks. So if and when you get a clam. Just keep a close eye on it if you have fish you're concerned about
