I had a clown years and years ago in one of my old set ups that used to do the same. He's probably trying to host in it and just nipping at it. Also he's probably trying to rub into it and that's whats causing it to get knocked over. My clown never did any damage to the toadstool after I attached the coral to a larger piece of rock so he couldn't knock it over.

i had a maroon once that whenever i added a new frag he would intentionally knock it down. Don't think he liked new things being in his environment. He was fine with them once he'd get used to them but you'd have to pick them up quiet a few times till then.

This can be quite common if you have a clown and do not have the proper host anemone with it. Eric's right, he's probably trying to host in it for lack of a better alternative. Clowns typically try and host in Euphyllia Corals if they don't have an Anemone but if you don't have those either than they sometimes choose another coral in the tank such as your Leather. I've had customers tell me that their clowns have killed some of their corals because of the stress they caused them trying to host in them but this is rare. If it continues and does cause stress to the Leather perhaps you might want to consider adding a host Anemone for the Clown.
