Sounds like you need some one on one. That IP address is a internal network IP address and tells me you probably have a Belkin router. But the router manufacture does not matter.

So you updated your Apex firmware...via your laptop...while the Laptop was plugged into an Ethernet wire correct? And after you updated the Apex, did you update the webpages and other stuff per the instructions to the letter?

Yes I did all that and have restarted my apex and have done a self test and it passed with the new fw. I try and connect through fusion and it keeps telling me that I am running the old firmware and need to update it. For some reason on my display it says that apexfusion down and I can't change it.

Firmware4.32_7A14 is the most up to date.

Now once you have it up to date, it could have a new IP address assigned from your router, go to the controller and get the IP address off the controller, should be located, Hit the center round button on the display, then System -> Net Set up -> IP Address and type that IP address into your web browser, from there you should need to log in with what ever password is set on your Apex head unit. The default password should be

login: admin
pass: 1234

I use 8.1, I as well hate it, but it works lol.

That is what fw I had and it told me to update to 4.33_BD14.

Oops, sorry, you are right lol. I have an update that I need to do. I thought that last update was still in testing. But have you checked to see if the IP address on your unit changed and tried to log in on the webpage from your laptop?

I don't know what I did but I just kept restarting it and playing with the fusion setup. And it works. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Got it. Now the old ap won't connect. Lol. I am just cursed when it comes to technology.

The information you need to put in the app would have changed, you may need to edit it. I always had issues with that app to, had to remove and readd every so often. Was a pain when I was not at home and had to mess with port forwarding to while paying for a static IP. I am glad Fusion is out now for those reasons.

U don't need any of that crap with fusion. I had a ac3 and I needed a static ip? After years of having my ac3 I was never able to access it outside of my home network. Now with my updated apex; accessing it is easy with fusion. Anywhere all the time no prob
