i had to feed my lion with a stick cuz the other fish were too aggressive,, and he usually put his spines down when other fish were close so he didnt sting them...

The loin will not get any food as they are slow hunters so you would have to work hard to feed him.

Plus in an enclosed environment with tank mates the lion will not be able to scare them away with a show and incidental contact and stinging will happen especially during feeding frenzys.

Tony what kind of lion and is he in for sure?

He is a regular lion fish and he is already in my 220 gallon tank.

He is small enough that I am sure I could find a new home for him if need be.

Take your lion, add an antennata lion, a radiata lion and maybe an interesting dwarf like a fumanchu (my fav) or a scorpionfish and you have a pretty cool display...and hardy and pretty easy to keep generally.

I'm all over the assorted lion display....  Specialized tanks like Dukes clown nem tank are cool.

......and I am stuck on this Naked Gun image with Tony as Ricardo Montalban.

Why not consider a marine betta? Or a garabeldi damsel, or some hamlets?  Or even some of the larger hawkfish

I think it depends who you talk to.  I think the more square footage the better.  But how about hatching one?  Just have to make sure you've got somewhere for it to go once it gets too big.

I love my marine betta!!!  Gorgeous fish.

What about a SHARK??

No shark should be kept in a tank less than 500g imo

little bamboo sharks are ok in tanks up to 180g with lots of floor space for the first few years of their lives

But he's only got 8 square feet.  Doesn't seem like enough.
