His flesh dosent looked chopped it looks the same as my when tang got stung (not nearly as bad) is he's eating he's healthy and should be ok but always keep an eye to see if they go down hill , goodluck !

Yes this literally appeared overnight...so I'm definitely thinking an attack of some kind. I did do a lot of changes to the tank that day (moving and adding corals) and added a fairly big torch...maybe he got a little disoriented and got tangled up in the torch or a nem. All water parameters are great except alk is a little low at 7dkh

Tangs are tough buggers he should look good as new after a few months of nori with garlic additive. I personally always use seachems garlic guard. I found it doesn't foul the water as bad as some other garlic products and gets even the really finicky eaters to eat.

I'll see what he looks like today when the lights come on...he was acting completely normal and eating beside the fact he looked beat up lol
