Disappearing fish

Ok so over the last 6 months I've had multiple fish just up and vanish. No they haven't jumped out of the tank, I've looked. Last week I added 4 baby clowns. 2 black perc 2 perc. Took to my elegance right away a a host. Within 2 days one perc vanished. Next day a black vanished. 2 days ago all I had left was one black and now none. They were about an inch in size. My blue throat never paid any mind to them when I observed the tank and I keep y fish extremely over fed. I've also had two anthrax as disappear, a chromis, a blue hippo, a sleeper goby, and a shrimp. I've searched high and low for carcass' but I can't find anything. I've waited for hours after lights out and gone in with a flashlight. Nothing out of the ordinary. What do you make of this?

That's weird!!! Could you have a coral or a clam maybe esting them?!?!?!?? You could have got a hitchhiker some something you bought? ( buy anything new? ) hopefully you find out soon!! Did you check your sump and overflow?

Did you try throwing a big white shrimp or mussel in the tank in the middle of the night as bait for any nocturnal predator? It's too easy for a tiny lobster or a baby green brittle/serpent star to come in and scavenge and grow until they reach the size that they can start taking out sleeping fish.

That's assuming there's no obvious suspects...carpet nem...eels (even snowflakes can "turn"on you)....that cute blue ringed octopus that came in with the Aussi shipment...your 18" red angler....

i regal tang should hold its own against any hitch hiker you would think, baby clowns? possibly look at your trigger if its big enough to eat them thats probably what happened. it possibly wasnt meant to be anyways as anything over 2 clownfish is asking for trouble. and they would have been occ's not percs it they were black clowns.

Do you stock carpet anemones at all? If not, I agree you should set out some bait and see what is taking it.
