I'm just not sure why they have the flow from the display into the frag tank coming up from the bottom. A neat concept but wouldn't that be more of a PITA to plumb? I've never had to plumb anything so I'm certainly not talking from experience but you'd think drilling and plumbing the back of the frag tank would be easier. o_O

I think part of the reason is that it eliminates the need for powerheads in the frag tank. A good flow of water can be going over the frags easily without extra pumps. If the water came in from the back and overflowed out the back as well there may not be a good turnover of water in the actual tank. Also, it reduces the disturbance of the surface water and can be virtually still on the top. Much better for looking down and seeing your frags.
Very interesting concept.

I was thinking the same thing, how to get good water flow/movement...I would think that you would have some dead zones..

I guess I see what you mean now about the flow. Since it comes from the bottom they can place the outlets near the front of the tank. Although if they were at the back a small powerhead or two could alleviate the flow issues. But in the long run it would be cheaper the way they have it set up. Not to mention fewer things to break down and replace and a slightly lower hydro bill.

So with this setup everything just runs on gravity then except for the return pump. I suppose that's worth the extra plumbing work. ;)
