How long did you use for jones? Brand, reactor, etc....?
Just curious because I am considering using bio pellets alongside my prodibio bio optim and bio digest doses.....

Heh I can't even get phosphates to register, even a little bit.  I haven't seen a speck of algae in months.  I wouldn't get rid of my pellets even for money.  The perfect trifecta: GFO Pellets and ROX.  I don't even rinse mysis shrimp anymore.

I run 3 reactors.  a vertex reactor for the bio pellets, a phosban for gfo and a phosban for rox charcoal from brs.

Because salty would rather rant then answer a question, rox is what most would call carbon. Salty is special :)

K I have to change what I said lol. My phos, and nitrates are at zero. But I have some algae, dino algae and I never had it before till I been running pellets. But as I been reading, they like really clean water. So I'm going to add a product called algae x from fauna marinne. Havnt beenn able to find a single bad review on it. But I have to turn off all my media reactors. I can't leave pellets not tumbling for a week cann I? Don't they get toxic and what nnnot?

I dont know,  it was just a suggestion to keep them moving.  I agree with Darryl and my previous statement.  I have never used them, but from what i have read it takes time.
So give it some time.

Im still confused as to what is going on here....

How long have they been on the system?
How much are you using?
What are your PO4 and NO3 and how are you measuring them?
Why is it that you want to take them offline?

So if you NO3 and PO4 are nil....than how do you know they are not working?

So you have diatom or dinoflanglates?  Either case I know nothing about algae x but I bet it's just Lanthanum chloride to get your phosphate down....but if your phosphate is down already...what is the point.  If you really want to drive down PO4 you can try GFO....proven product IMO.  Just watch now that you are low nutrient to feed more or increase fish load.
