My daughter named my Garden Eel "Snape" (from Harry Potter) because that was her favorite series when I got him. I have had him for more than 5 years now and he is still going strong.
My husband named the Copperband Butterfly "Penny"
I named my first True Captive Bred seahorses "Jack, Janet and Chrissie" after the characters in Three's Company because it seemed to fit. We then named some of the later purchased seahorses "Sir Lancelot, Sir Flirts Alot and Sir Galahad" mostly because Sir Flirts Alot did just that and the other two names fit the theme for the boys. I can't tell them apart now that Sir Flirts Alot grew so big so none of my seahorses have names anymore except for one little girl who has one lonely cirri on top of her head and I call her "Cindi Lou Who" because she reminds me of the little Who on The Grinch who Stole Christmas.
