Got some new 'shrooms yesterday! Also added 2 more Cerith Snails, 2 Throchus and 1 Nassarius.

I picked up a Grape Mania Yuma:

(The Grape Mania next to one of my Rics)

Another Yuma that I'm not sure the name of (any ideas?):

And a Blue Lagoon Discosoma:

Oh, and this is how open one of those pesky not wanting to open Zoas got yesterday.

Better than nothing, but not too exciting...

Got me thinking I should have yumas again.
Looks good.
Once the zoa opens that much, a bit more time and it will open right up. Looks ok. Is the one shown in full light?

Yup in full light, about 3/4of the way down the tank (which is only, like, 9 inches below the surface in this little tank).

Tucked one of the unhappy zoas away under a overhang to see if it is too much light.
Water parameters were all good:
SpGr 1.024
T: 792
pH: 8.15
KH 7.5
Calcium 360
Phos, Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite: 0

Weekend Photo Update:

First, the unhappy zoas are making some progress (or at least one of them is). Here's the Milky Way Zoa 2 days ago. I've been feeding them a combination of Marine Snow daily and a powdered micro reef food a couple of times a week. The progress is subtle and slow, but at least more than one head is starting to open again:

And even slightly more open yesterday:

And a picture of Duncan's baby heads growing:

I Moved the Tubb's Blue last week so he is now hanging out between the Duncan and the Sunny D Yuma:

My Acan seems super HAPPY. It was a 4 head Acan when I bought it a month or so ago, now it has heads crowding all around the base. Not sure where it will go from here. Should it be on a rock instead of the sand so it can grow out across the rock? Not really sure what these guys like:

Been a while since I posted. I think the zoas that were unhappy are all dead, unfortunately.

A few new pictures from last night. I did a water change and moved a few things around. My snails are being pushy, so things needed to be stuck down. My fabulously happy acan was on its side yesterday morning, as was the long suffering hammer.

Hammer has been slowly shrinking. It's stony stalk is quite friable these days. I cut it back a bit and fixed it high and in indirect light. We'll see if it makes it...

The Happy Happy Acan Family was being bulldozed by the snails, so I brought it up off the sand, still off to the side, and slightly shadowed. Hopefully it keeps growing and reproducing...

A couple of my favourite 'Rics/shrooms

My green hairy mushrooms were some of my first corals. Wasn't sure I should buy them when I was buying my first corals, but they are awesome. Getting big and fluffy, and I love watching them envelope brine shrimp.

What do the hammers like to eat? I've been feeding about 1/2 ml of Acro
Power and 1/2 ml Marine Snow daily, a pinch of reef roids or Spectrum Micro Feeder powder every couple of days and the big guys (Duncan, Acro, green hairy shrooms, sexy shrimp get some combination of Brine Shrimp, Lumpfish Roe and Spectrum pellets most days. I added the reef roids, Acro power and marine snow after things all started looking crappy. I have the stock HOB filter and a Koralia nano power head.

So I started posting here, then fell off the map. I guess it's been about 6 months since I've posted. Been busy, but the tank is coming along pretty well. Battling Planaria right now, then I'll move on to bubble algae. Also the peeps over at nano-reef (where I have a more active thread) think I might have a stow-away harlequin shrimp, because the Purple Filefish I got disappeared without a trace (third fish to do so in this tank).

Anyway, here's a video I put together for the tank's 9 monthiversary:

Yes there are flatworms. I am battling them as we speak (with Flatworm eXit, which seems better than the Blue Vet Flatworm product). After I get that under control, it will be a battle with the bubble algae and vermetid snails

The flatworm battle is going pretty well. Here are some recent pictures:
The flower-pot Goniopora is doing great:

As is the GSP encrusted rock (I think there might still be a bit of the grey spongey thing on the rock, but it is not too visible)

The Monti-cap and one of the Hairy Green Mushrooms are battling it out for supremacy in one spot:

Don't think I can do a photo dump without a picture of Duncan

My birds nest is doing well, growing slowly and surviving!

Another Close-up of the Hairy Green Mushroom

Love this guy! And as Slowtwitch promised, he is moving around and multiplying

A couple of discos that are neither thriving nor dying, just sort of hanging out

Nuclear green people eaters are happy in their location
